From repairing a daily driver to rebuilding an engine or replacing a transmission, we help you understand the work, cost, and next steps before you approve it.
Everyday engine service
Get back to dependable driving.
Unusual noises, oil consumption, overheating, rough running, or a loss of power deserve a closer look. We diagnose the concern and explain whether a targeted repair, rebuild, or replacement is the better path.
Engine diagnostics & repair
Investigate drivability concerns, warning lights, leaks, cooling problems, and mechanical issues. Depending on the symptoms, testing may include scan data, compression, leak-down, or oil-pressure checks.
- Rough idle, misfires & poor running
- Oil and coolant leaks
- Timing-system and cylinder-head repairs
- Overheating and cooling-system concerns
Engine rebuilds for daily drivers
Rebuilding can be an option when an engine has internal wear or damage and its major components are suitable for reuse. We plan the repair around inspection findings and your long-term needs.
- Teardown and internal-condition assessment
- Measurements and a parts plan
- Required machine work coordinated for the build
- Assembly, installation & startup checks
Engine replacement
Compare rebuilding with a suitable replacement engine. We discuss availability, engine condition, compatibility, the installation scope, and the warranty terms available for the selected option.
- Replacement options reviewed for your vehicle
- Supporting systems checked during installation
- Required fluids and related service
- Post-installation checks and follow-up guidance
You do not have to decide on a rebuild before we inspect the vehicle. The engine’s condition, the car’s overall condition, parts availability, and your budget help determine the right recommendation.
Transmission service & repair
Address the problem.
Choose the right repair.
Slipping, delayed engagement, harsh shifts, unusual noises, or fluid leaks can have different causes. We evaluate the symptoms before recommending a transmission replacement or rebuild.
Diagnosis & service
Review operation, fault codes, leaks, fluid condition, and related controls as appropriate. Maintenance and targeted repairs are recommended when they fit the diagnosis and the vehicle’s service requirements.
Transmission replacement
Review suitable replacement options, installation needs, and warranty coverage. We account for vehicle compatibility and any required programming, adaptation, or related repairs in the estimate.
Transmission rebuilding
Discuss rebuilding when the transmission and parts availability support it. The plan may include internal inspection, replacement of worn or damaged components, and model-specific specialist work.
Manual transmissions & clutches
Evaluate shifting concerns, clutch operation, flywheel condition, leaks, and related components. We help you plan repairs or replacement parts for everyday driving or a modified vehicle.
Automatic, CVT & dual-clutch applications
Service and repair options depend on the specific transmission. Send your vehicle details so we can confirm the available approach, including replacement or specialist rebuilding where appropriate.
Repair, rebuild, or replace?
Make the decision with the facts.
We explain what we found, what each option includes, and what could affect the final scope. Your estimate should make the next step easier to understand.
What we consider with you
- The cause and extent of the damage
- Mileage, maintenance history & overall vehicle condition
- Parts availability and expected scheduling
- Rebuild versus replacement cost
- Applicable parts and labor warranty terms
- How long you plan to keep the vehicle
If teardown is needed to determine the full extent of damage, we explain the inspection cost and approval process first.
Performance engine & transmission building
Build for the way you drive.
Planning more power, a restomod, or a track-focused project? Our performance, tuning, and fabrication capabilities let us plan the engine and drivetrain together, with attention to reliability, drivability, and your intended use.
A build with a purpose.
Plan engine combinations around your goals, fuel, vehicle, and budget. Discuss internal upgrades, cylinder-head work, camshaft selection, and supporting systems as part of a defined build.
- Street, track & restomod engine projects
- Forged internal-component options
- Naturally aspirated and boosted combinations
- Build scope and required machine work
Support the power you make.
Match transmission, clutch, converter, cooling, and control choices to the engine combination and how the vehicle will be driven. Upgrade and rebuild options depend on the transmission platform.
- Performance rebuild or replacement planning
- Clutch, flywheel & torque-converter selection
- Supporting cooling and drivetrain needs
- Transmission calibration where supported
Bring the systems together.
Powertrain work affects more than the engine. We review fuel delivery, cooling, wiring, exhaust, controls, and drivetrain compatibility so the project has a coherent plan.
- LS and Coyote swap projects
- Classic-car and restomod modernization
- Custom mounting and fabrication
- ECU integration and supporting upgrades
More than assembly
Support the build from planning to setup.
Our engineering background, fabrication capabilities, and in-house AWD Mustang dyno help connect the mechanical work with the systems and calibration your project needs.
Dyno testing & ECU tuning
Plan dyno testing and calibration for supported platforms, including HP Tuners and EcuTek applications. Testing and tuning are scoped around the vehicle, hardware, fuel, and build goals.
Turbo & supercharger projects
Installation and supporting-system planning for forced-induction builds, including fuel delivery, cooling, exhaust, and calibration requirements.
Fabrication & integration
Custom solutions for mounts, brackets, plumbing, and other project needs. We bring design and practical problem-solving to combinations that need more than bolt-on parts.
Tell us your current setup, target power, preferred fuel, and driving goals. We will review feasibility and quote a defined scope before starting your build.
How it works

Common questions
Engine & transmission service FAQ
Do you rebuild engines for regular cars?
Yes. Engine rebuilding is available for everyday vehicles as well as performance projects. We first review the engine’s condition and compare rebuilding with repair or replacement options.
Can you replace or rebuild my transmission?
We offer transmission replacement and rebuild options depending on the vehicle, transmission type, condition, and parts availability. Contact us with the year, make, model, and symptoms so we can confirm the best next step.
How much will an engine or transmission repair cost?
Cost depends on the diagnosis, damage, parts, and installation requirements. We begin with an agreed evaluation and explain the repair estimate. Some internal damage can only be confirmed after an authorized teardown.
Do I need a new engine if my car is overheating or misfiring?
Those symptoms alone do not establish that an engine needs replacement. Testing helps identify the cause and whether a smaller repair is appropriate. If the vehicle is overheating or has an oil-pressure warning, stop driving and call us to discuss getting it to the shop.
Do you build performance engines and transmissions?
Yes. We can plan performance engine and transmission projects, supporting upgrades, and tuning for suitable platforms. Send your vehicle details, modifications, fuel choice, and goals so we can review the combination.
Is there a warranty on a rebuild or replacement?
Coverage depends on the selected parts, engine or transmission source, and approved work. We explain the applicable written warranty terms before you authorize the job, including any requirements that apply to modified vehicles.
Do you serve Paradise Valley?
Yes. Our Scottsdale shop serves customers from Paradise Valley, Phoenix, Tempe, and nearby communities. Contact us to discuss your vehicle and schedule an evaluation.
